Evidently, it *can*. :) This supports my contention that even if the fetus were considered a person/human being, abortion should still be legal.

Incidentally, I am against fetal homicide laws, but I do support laws making it a crime to kill a woman's fetus/child against her will. Just like it's illegal for you to kill my dog, but it's legal for me to have her euthanised for any reason I choose.
