Hey Dude, thanks for the interesting message. I enjoyed reading about that, and found your story quite stimulating intellectually. I was walking home from work today, thinking about human sex change, and remembered that sex change is actually quite common outside our species. For instance, I own an aquarium and am quite the fish hobbyist. Well, it is known for certain fish species, under the right conditions, to change sex from male to female or even from female to male. Not all fish species can do this. I had a guppy recently that began as male, then developed female characteristics, becoming plainer and losing its beautiful tail (in guppies, the male is the beautiful one). Sadly, it died due to some unknown disease. I would have liked to test whether it could reproduce.

Really I think when humans go for sex changing, they are only doing what other members of the animal kingdom are known to do, and it is quite natural, and what is interesting is the "why." I don't buy into the psychological B.S., I really think it is deeper than that, and there are biochemical reasons. In fish, they change sex when there is a shortage of males. So some females may become male. Or, they may change sex due to a change in the Ph level of the water (acidity/alkalinity) or other reason. Now if anyone were to suggest that a fish changes sex because of a psychological reason, like upbringing etc., I think that person would be laughed at.

One theory of mine relates to the fact that we are receiving high dosages of hormones in our foods nowadays. For instance, cow milk may have hormones that are given to the cows to make them produce more milk. It is already established that American girls enter puberty earlier. There was a big TIME magazine article on that, on girls entering puberty at age 12 or even earlier. This hasn't happened before with such frequency. So maybe people who eat a good deal of certain hormone-laced foods, or consume them at certain stages of their lives, may be influenced.

I also wonder what effects drugs might have on the human brain. Maybe certain drugs influence the gender orientation. Like, who knows what long-term effects are in new drugs like Ecstacy? Not saying there are any, but how many studies have been done? Not many. The fact the govt. makes drugs illegal means little scientific study gets done on anything except alcohol and tobacco.

Do you think that surgery is "worth it" if the end result may not be attractive to males? Or is the surgery for the purpose of self-appreciation i.e. masturbation? I myself have no desire to lose my penis, which I really like, and it really is a mystery to me, even if somebody didn't like having a penis, why they would spend so money to get rid of it, not to mention the pain, and possible risk involved.

I mean, the penis is pretty good plumbing, compared to the vagina which requires squating to evacuate urine (if you try to evacuate standing up, it will run down your leg). Also, with the penis you can AIM urine. That is very useful in many situations. I also like the convenience of penile masturbation. You can masturbate with just one hand. With a vagina I guess you could still use one hand, but to really get going, besides just stimulating the clitoris you would want penetration into the vagina.

I find that having a penis is very re-assuring, and a comfort to me always. Whenever I'm walking around, even in public, I like to grab my friend, make sure he's still there, and ready for anything that comes my way.

Well anyway thanks for provoking all this thought on sex reassignment. A pinch on the nip for ya!
