Times change and the things we view as bad are now becoming acceptable. I remember when there was an outrage over the ninja turtles and they were actually canceled for being violent. I gotta laugh at this now as I was watching family guy last night and the violence they show is a 1000 times worse. Was there pornography before the late 50's early 60's? I know there were sex crimes being commited then. Does having pornography really increase the chances for someone to commit a sex crime. In my opinion it does, depending on the type of porn. Child porn I think is especially terrible. The question at hand though is does having it around make a difference on who will offend and who won't? I personally think that the thought of having sex with a child would have to be in a persons mind before-hand. I have never viewed nor do I want to view child porn, but if a person who never had the thought of having sex with a child viewed it, would it change them? It used to be acceptable for young girls to marry but now most societies frown on it. I am a fan of mma but does me watching people fight increase my chances of being violent? My 9 year old nephew enjoys watching the fights with me and he can't even bring himself to kill a fly. I am curious to hear what the people here think should be censored and what is being censored more than needed. What punishments should we have if people are caught violating the censorship laws? Is it the veiwers or the makers of censored material that should be punished? Which one of them should punished worse?
