I can see your points and agree with most of them. I do however feel child pornography is an important issue in society. Someone who is viewing child pornography is unlikely taking an anatomy class but instead getting sexually excited over the depictions. This is a danger to our society because it's feeding the mind of a predator. Maybe the person goes years with only viewing the content but eventually they will venture out and make fantasies real. Rehabilitation for sex offenders in most cases does not work because it is ultimately up to the individual offender to change. Why would a person change when they believe they have done nothing wrong? You may be on too something when you mentioned publicity being punishment enough. Any person released from prison after being convicted of rape or pedophilia maybe even murder should have a sign put up on their door stating what they did. I wonder if that would make any difference but highly doubt it would. Duroc
