Purely conceptually, theoretically, with the women going around naked, it might be a practical impulse-concealing thing, using a gourd to put over your soft-tissue organ.

Even married closet gays might want that option on the table.

It's not fair, after all, to have only the women be able to conceal/fake their emotions.
