I think that's a good principle on many more occasions than it has been practised by "superpowers". In North America, we live in a nuclear shield. In Iran, they don't. From what I can gather, the mullahs are caught in the cleft of wanting to help their Shiite freedom-fighter brethren in Gaza while being anxious about (1) Israeli capacities to deliver nuclear destruction and (2) Western (Jewish controlled) journalistic proclivities to use internet media to exacerbate domestic strife for the purpose of good stories to titillate Western emoto-linguistic circuits such as those occasionally firing in DWA's otherwise very grey matter.
