Or, should "attitudes" be engineered into compliance? I guess any child with somewhat laissez faire parents is lucky up to a point. (Me, for instance.) Are Einsteins made more Einsteinian by parental prodding? --I don't think so, but maybe his South Germany father and mother did accidentally "work", have some stimulating toys lying around, or at least didn't keep them locked away.
