http://www2.sjsu.edu/depts/itl/graphics/adhom/circular.html Notice that in circular reasoning, the speaker assumes to be true what he is supposed to be proving. Classic example: The Bible is infallible because it says so in John 14:3 that it's the word of God (Chapter and verse just invented). My statement was clearly NOT an attempt to prove anything. I stated my opinion, which I based on personal experience and which I admitted could be wrong, that MJ was guilty and went on to state a continuation of my opinion, namely that, "I think the verdict was created by high priced lawyers twisting the truth." http://www.truthtree.com/Childab/posts/863.html You jumped on a statement of opinion based on personal experience and gut feeling and liberally infused with doubt as to its validity as if it were an attempt to prove something. "The problem with that is it is a circular logic." http://www.truthtree.com/Childab/posts/867.html Since there was no attempt to prove anything, there was no error in logic. |
