Do the 72 have individual names, or, more conveniently, numbers? Talk about a throw-away society!

For some people, 72 might only be a 1-month supply, and it taxes my childlike faith intellect that they could remain "useful" virgins after being used.


I read it all. Clearly, there are sympathetic and hostile approaches from various directions. One recurring theme is that "we"/"they" are just misunderstood.

I caught this, from about page 3 or 4 of the link:

I think of the joke about Mohammed Atta waking up on the other side on September 12, 2001, surrounded by 72 women, the most attractive of whom looked like Andrea Dworkin on a bad day. The punchline: Well, why did you think they are still virgins?

In another version of the joke, the women are beautiful, and the punchline is: What do you mean they have to remain virgins?
