This is a debate after all! Arguing the negative does not call for a balanced point of view. This is to be acomplished by someone taking up the challenge and making a case for the affirmative! On with the rebuttal. (Note : on your analogy to the infernal automobile, even today with good roads, driver training and ever more safety devices we still kill many on the roads. At the turn of the century there was probably good cause to regard 30mph as incredibly dangerous.) |
