Nope, once it happens, it isn't easily cured. Only managed. When I was in school years ago, one prof made the statement that if you lived long enough you would get Diabetes and/or Congestive Heart Failure. Pretty pessimistic. And hard to disprove. You don't get? It means you didn't live long enough.
