I guess there are advantages to restricting membership, but at this point it doesn't appear to be warranted there, judging by the amount of message traffic you have there. Who are you trying to keep out? Or did I misunderstand the "welcome" screen?

I would drop in and review the discussion, although I don't have a particular passion/focus/expertise on the topic. However, I don't want to invent a new screen name and password for you just to do that. (Call me lazy, or apathetic?)

Aren't work arounds being found for the legal restrictions (are there any, now?), and when the international competition really heats up, won't it become obvious that this is another technological race that is highly important to national well being?
