Yes,I recall now that 1981 was the year that "the disease" appeared through media. Very early in 81 Brokaw mentioned the possibility that there was an affliction emerging in the gay community that could be lethal. But,that was my observance. Others received different input at or around the same time. The point I'm making is that the syndrome was introduced into the mainstream by the media, on a focus level having a suspicious quality- immediate and accelerated. In addition, indications were that more was known than was being 'said'- that somehow there was a broad media think that alluded to a 'we told you so' undercurrent, when very little was understood. I'm stating here that the way the entire scenario came down indicated a lot of pre planning and contrivance, pointing to manipulation. So, where were the pundits getting their info, and why was the gay comm. being indicted so immediately and directly, as if God had written the script. Indeed,was the 'syndrome receptive mind' being connected to a psychological special 'feed' that then corralled them into a common mindset of inevitability?
