Syllogisms: Are humans animals?

TT Evo Frank takes some issue with me over whether humans can be defined as "animals". It's true, some definitions put humans and animals in different categories. The question remains, though, and a negative answer, "humans are not animals" is absurd, IMO. This is a version of our discussion of the animalhood of the human foetus.

Humans, IMO are a sub-category among animals in general. :-))))))

I recently re-introduced Venn diagrams, and I see that they are referenced in the Syllogism article.

Frank is succeeding in teaching me a lot, but not necessarily what he is aiming to teach. Anyway, thanks Frank, for your silly challenging rather rarefied-seeming psilocybin logic.
