Edit
The author of this post sent me an e-mail. He had thought that the debating board was for debating any subject. I considered moving his post to the politics and world government board, but he had so many undefined concepts I thought it might be better for him to think a while before trying to post again.

These decisions are difficult. Sometimes someone will post something that contains weird notions and in the struggle that ensues we learn from the experience. I just thought that wasn't likely to happen with this particular post.

I thought some of the responses were interesting, though, and I invite Simon to try again. This time, Simon, post on the Politics and World Government board and try not to use undefined concepts like "God's true nation on earth." Trying to base any intelligent discussion on such a topic is likely to be about as meaningful as a discussion on "Santa Claus's true mission in Armenia."

I liked your first paragraph:

"Since 9-11 the Middle East conflict has gone from bad to worse. Exacerbated by the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan the long-standing territorial conflict between Israel and Palestine went from a regional concern to truly a global problem. The region's previous moderator, the United States, bogged down with its own internal struggles is no longer able to end the fighting. Drastic times call for drastic measures but what can be done that hasn't already been done? What's missing from the equation that holds in the balance not only the six billion plus people of the world but Western Civilization itself."

After reading that, I thought, "Oh boy! We've got an interesting one here!"

I hope you'll try again. Silver Fox thought you probably wouldn't post again, but DWA thought you would and should. I vote with DWA on this one.
