Edit
The 'Indian' wars of the western frontier of the US have very little in common with the British in India.
The 'Native Americans' were an indigenous aboriginal culture. They had no written language, no highly developed architectural model,no wheel,no horse, no scriptural linguistics, and no managerial overview of geographic 'place' or management of resources.
India developed in parallel to the British conquest, whereas - the Native American were granted separatist status through a reservation system, and then ascended culturally through social provision.
A big mistake, because now they own a portion of our birthright and constantly question our sovereignty
