Angus:"Today I feel better and, lo and behold, I find your post amusing. Thanks. I respect your good intents, and suspect they might actually be becoming intentions, in which case the world has already begun to improve."

I admit, I was disappointed to see you adopt a term from TT Evo Phrank.

I also concede that Phrank may be well justified in that occasional "nwrt" response, if in fact he may be dealing with a merely ornate reinforced concrete brick-faced wall.

My deep "new" insight for the day, nothing new, really, is that some battles don't ***really*** have to be fought, EVEN if you are actually in the right.

Recognising this, then, the ongoing challenge is to find things to TT-skirmish over.

My intended posture at all times is to be at least slightly open to the possibility that I am wrong. It's a wise strategy for a mortal, I think, except in war, politics, and poker.

In politics, perhaps, the "true" statesmen give some ground, after taking ground by whatever subterfuges. History might be kinder, if their adversaries ever get the chance to compose/compost the records. (-;
