Angus:"Since DWA has several times in TT posts used the word sycophancy to describe similar phenomena of "proximate cause", I ask this TT court to pronounce DWA "inadvertent liar most foul (ILMF)"."

When I have used the term "sycophancy" at TT, as in the Skibummer-Frank axis, the meaning intended was simple, to just infer that some "lucky" people have their respective toadies.

Causative effects of toadyism or sycophancy never came into discussion, IMESHO, merely the juxtaposition, but of course the toadies are somewhat enabling to the object of the "worship".

"Definitions of toady on the Web:

sycophant: a person who tries to please someone in order to gain a personal advantage
fawn: try to gain favor by cringing or flattering; "He is always kowtowing to his boss"
