Simon Bartholomew: "I believe (and you should too) the power of God. With Him all things are possible. If we think it is impossible to end the Middle East conflict then it will continue unabated but if we look at it from the perspective it can be resolved then it can. You state, how many times has there been supposed accord witnessed. How many times have hands been shaken . . backs clapped . . roadmaps unfurled . . peace treaties agreed upon. But treachery and openly veiled veneers are always apparent. With people, yes, but with God no. As the Judge of mankind His is not only righteous, but also holy and pure." If Simon is referring by the word "God" to the power of good within human beings provided by the combination of our instincts, emotions, sensations, intellect, intuitions, and also the "fuel" of our physical and cultural environments then I would concur as far as "better can happen than has been happening and is now happening". And since we all have this power within, but appear to forget this truth when we meet someone or something or some-event or some-circumstance that triggers fear/anxiety in us, we tend to take on the Silverfoxian nihilism that, until very recently, seemed to be gripping the Silverfoxian being and the many ilks of his tribe. I have used the word "fuel" metaphorically, as if I were an engine. (And by the way, I once worked for Cummins Engine Company!).
