No, IMO, as with hypothetically "walking on water" successfully, it (the actual workable truthful solution) amounts to knowing where the slightly submerged rocks are.

Flawed (of course) analogy: The workable Boy Scout pocket knife (as opposed to a Occam Razor) method for crossing a shallow but wide stream may be to go where the large rocks and logs are. That might not be a convenient quick straight line drawn by a surveyor with a high tech laser transit, either. Does the surveyor routinely carry a strong piece of steel cable?

I could bore you with a further analogy from experience in technology rather than outdoor trout chasing life, but I might accidentally end up supporting you in your argument if I did that. /-:
