'taint that granny's in the old folk's home for good. It's that methers are real, real losers. Most cookers are users. It's easy to do if you don't mind dealing in dangerous chemicals and putting your life at risk. The sharp dealers let other people take the risks, which leaves the losers feeding their habits and supporting themselves by cooking. That type, they make enough income and are willing to spend for a reasonably decent house - which is what makes them scary, they show up as Joe Everyman's next door neighbor - but they don't fork out for McMansions. For what you'd get in rent for the average house, you could maybe pay for three days in a nursing home. (And what a meth head would pay extra for a McMansion would buy him a few extra highs.) "Robbins’s claim fails because the Hobbs Act does not apply when the National Government is the intended beneficiary of the allegedly extortionate acts." WILKIE ET AL. v. ROBBINS. David H. Souter, Justice, U.S. Supreme Court
with John Roberts, Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy,
Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer, and Samuel Alito concurring. |
