Edit
Surrounded by undeniable visible geological traces of the last glaciation, and the cyclical nature of world average temperatures shown in scientific observations of ocean and lake bottoms, I am not really sure which direction mankind wants to turn.

It is just possible that the background natural trends in climate will override all of mankind's momentary impacts. In that case, the hand-wringing agendists are clamoring for exactly the wrong thing on carbon emissions. That is, assuming that the real objective is some kind of climate/temperature status quo.

In brief: It's not too early to take precautions, but rushed conclusions are somewhat doubtful. In any case, the low-impact energy production strategies have already established some momentum of their own, wind, solar, waves, etc.

DWAardvark, ready, anyway, with the water wings, always preferring to have viable alternatives.
