That's why the universities and such are still financing digs all over creation - well, the accessible parts of it, anyway. People in the sciences know that the current "word" is not - and is not likely to be, for centuries or perhaps millenia to come - the final "word" on any subject. It's only the laymen out there, nurtured by newsies who insist on presenting the current "word" as the Word of Authority, who find themselves surprised when some new "word" overturns conventional thinking.
