DWA: Chickens being descendants of T. Rex, based on DNA code similarity, is a stretch, IMO. Possible, but not a demonstrated certainty. Maybe not even EVER falsifiably demonstrable.

Well, you are the one with the subscription to Science, so perhaps you could critique the actual article instead of the impression of it written by the agenda-ed AP reporter. Let us know if it actually says that chicken are descended from tyrannosaurs or if it actually says something along the lines of chickens being more closely related to tyrannosaurs than to other known groups such as turtles and lizards.

Anyhow, suggesting relationships based on DNA or protein similarities doesn't impress you? Well, how would YOU explain the data? Give us some scientific context from your point of view. Please note that I am not saying the conclusions in the article are necessarily true, but I would like to see how you would analyze the data. If you think it demonstrates input from an intelligent designer, then show us where and tell us why!
