Frank, about "God":"Perhaps not, but if you want to include Him in your scientific process, He has to act in a predictable and testable manner." Why should "God" be any different from you or me, or our significant others? Frank:"Don't project and don't misrepresent me. I don't deny radio, magnetism or UV, but I do how how they behave in predictable and testable manners. What about your Designer(s)? Which observations in the real world were the result of that entities input and how do you know?"" Quantum uncertainty phenomena? "Free" choices by individuals? (Granted, that's disputed by some predestinationists). There is a thread through religious thought of seeking to know "God's" will, and then following/acting on it. I myself suspect that many "acts of God" actually are a higher power/essence acting through agents. What, exactly, gives validity to Rev. Jeremiah Wright's "liberation theology" and apparent power to torpedo Barack Obama's campaign? Hillary's "God"? '-0 Certainly not, IMO, provable humanly predictable or even natural laws. As we could see in "evolution"/ID it is sometimes "playful", not necessarily locked in on a pure growth/survival ?species motif. No really logical pragmatic objective at hand. We just "is". Do you deny a higher power itself the right to be exploratory and playful?
"A designed unit of pattern that is repeated often enough in the total composition to make it a significant or dominant feature. Motif is similar to theme or melody in a musical composition. Perhaps DNA is a collection of designer-selectable motifs, at the disposal and optional use of that designer, when it/he/she is in the mood to redecorate the transition zone tidal pools and wetlands?
