Do you know Neptune? If not, I'll hum a few bars and you can fake it.

DWA: Did you research that, or just get your pixie djinn monkey-ancestor information by anal extraction, much as the reporters found T. rex to be a chicken grandparent?

Do you mean that I knew Uranus was discovered before Neptune? Yes, I already knew that. If you mean did I already know you are confused about Uranus, I knew that too.

DWA: DWAardvark, recognising that the planets Uranus and Neptune's gravity fields should be mutually influential, and also that "chickens" in a different merely theoretical milieu could eventually confusingly but inconclusively morph into some superficially similar tyrannosaurus rexes.

Yes, they are mutually influential, but Neptune was found where it was expected due to abnormalities in the orbit of Uranus. Observations of Neptune had nothing to do with the discovery of Uranus. Of course, in your world, speculating that they might be out there somewhere because nobody can prove that they aren't would pass as a scientific proposition. You could also posit all of the Uranians in pink bodystocking and Neptunians in blue garb as being real since nobody can prove that they aren't.
