What a coincidence. I am presently composing a chapter in this escapade on genetics and human culture. In it I show how scientists studying behavior consider the evolution of culture Lamarckian in that cultures can pass on characteristics acquired in previous generations.

I started this tirade in response to a post on another forum concerning a certain psychologist named Albert Ellis and his early views on the mentally harmful nature of religion. So I wondered where religion, or more generally spirituality comes from. When I found and article on a "venus" found in a geological layer much older than humans I got to wondering, is spirituality a heritable trait? If it's part of our genome how can it be destructive? So I started reading and writing.

I'm using sources that I can physically hold in my hand but I am citing them and I invite you to explore them.

I will try explain things in English and not Sciencese.
