I think it more accurate to conclude that the British Government's intentions toward helping settle refugees, from European and other anti-Jewish persecutions, in Palestine were consistently positive and sometimes exceedingly generous. That is not, however, the view of many documentaries by overtly Jewish partisans, who being the recipients of a long and distinguished tradition of learning and civilization might be expected to know of the vital value of balanced truth. But, assuming that such partisans were suffering from unhealed angst, one is wise to make some allowance for their flagrant partisanship. Certainly there has been no attempt that has reached me of any British Government to correct or even make publicly clear the flagrant ingratitude and libel of some in the Jewish entertainment and communications industry. I guess that's called "authentic British stiff upper-lip stoicism". what's this
