I will need *your* definition of that novel word, to meaningfully, rationally or logically continue. Angus:"What evidence has DWA got that "Parents can, on average, do a much superior job to the state, and do it at minimal cost to the state, producing meritorious virtuous (part of the time) productive citizens..?
I consider the typical mid-America parental combination of industry, attention, concern and benign neglect, allowing me to be a self-starter, for example, to have been rather optimal. All the "state" could or probably would have done for me is create an alienated spoiled brat worse than you see at present. Let's embarrassingly (?) invert this inquiry with a loaded question: Are you more comfortable with an Orwellian Air America state as a master, mentor, and role model, or with your own particular parents?
