Like attracts like. Don't tell me that Saddam made himself all by himself. Or that Hitler did, for that matter. DWA: If the threat is sufficient, exactitude in prosecution may have to suffer, for the sake of psychologically valid benefits of a quick response. Even the alpha males in question have had to admit that the threat was not sufficient. Next they have to admit that it deflected them from Afghanistan. And finally they have to admit that their subordinates were more accurate in predicting the outcome than they were. So no, exactitude in prosecution only suffers in precision when the population at large has been too stupid to recognize their craving for alpha males to lead them by the nose. But lest you should retort: "Ha! A Briton speaks", be aware that the British were at least as addicted to alpha males when I left Britain as United States' voters apparently still are. Bravado is a terrible disease. Whence cometh it? That might take us into Skeptic D's territory.
