The headline of our biggest daily today was that our Supreme Court has decided to hear the case of Canadian Citizen Omar Khadr, caught by US soldiers after a firefight with Taliban / al Quaeda when he was 15 and held in Guantanomo for six years since. Expectation: that the Supreme Court will order our conservative PM, a toady to the bush league, to demand the repatriation of Khadr on two grounds in international law.

First, no 15 year-old can be considered an uncoerced soldier.

Second, US Army's evidence was falsified and self-conflicting.

All this accomplished by volunteers of conscience, courage, decency, persistence, and imagination -- in the face of fascistic determination to flout US laws by the bush league. Very Canadian, you say? Pity?
