If one's nation were attacked by Hitler one would need a leader like Stalin. In any event,the circumstances surrounding The USSR during WWII were exceptional beyond any measure in human history.
There has never been a nation attacked on such a massive scale, nor has there ever been the political framework to support a fifth column within the nation, prior to the attack or during the invasion. The figures of Stalin's purges grow ever more exaggerated as Western historians continue their re invention of the history of The Soviet Union. The Reich occupied Spain following their treacherous assault on the Loyalists and continued to use the Iberian Peninsula as a playground for every sexual deviate whose family had upper income connections. A veritable learning institution for interrogation,torture,execution,and mass entrapment of a pathetic wounded leftist remnant. Then,at the D-Day Invasion, these Nazi rats marched out of Spain into Brittany, raping women and children,torturing their parents, and herding them into local churches where they burned them alive. I could go on - but why bother - there is no value beyond argument. |
