Is Homer the pessimist war monger here?

I am actually seeing a wave of peace coming.

The number of people who just want to live their lives by far outnumber those who want to dominate. Don't look at it as nation against nation, look at it as good and evil. There is a common thread that connects all conflicts on our planet. Why do those people fight over resources and religion? The people who fight over these things are not fighting for the things, they are fighting for the control over others. May only the message of freedom, peace, and personal responsibility permeate the net. If we build it they will come.
