The European Holocaust reverberated through the entire culture, then to America. The Pol Pot had much to do with his paranoia about being attacked by the US, as well as his hatred for anti Maoist Chinese within Cambodia,
I doubt that such an extreme event would have occurred, were it not for the US invasion of Vietnam. The same holds true for the spate of bloodletting following the US invasion of Iraq. Divide and conquer strategies have been a great part of US war strategy since the war with Mexico. Here, we have no invasion, yet right wing extremists consider violent actions against so called Socialists. |
