Edit
DWA: "Unfortunately for us "outsiders" we are not intimate parties to the dissenting dialogue within the Red Chinese orbit."

But thy recognition of this 'unfortune' might begin to justify, DWA, my, then, absurd/incredible proposal of your taking the place of Mohandas Gandhi!

In GWB's early presidential days, Homer's post today might easily have been judged by the tyrannically uniform Americana that swept rednecks into the White House as UnAmerican, a side-effect of the loyalty evoking but truth-devoid trance of "If you are not for/with me, you are agin me".

DWA: "As far as your (Homeric) theory making the USofA causative of the Cambodian genocide, I think that is just one of those scenarioes where opposing communism in SE Asia had an unforeseen, even fairly unlikely sequel."

Unforeseen? Unforeseen by the Nixonian-Kissingerist progenitors of the redneck Americana bush league described above. But surely not unforseen by, say, the Gandhians and many others.

So, insanity was a factor, but Homer has peered inside insanity, emerged saner than ever, and I say we all owe him a prize: The reigning TT posting Champion on the subject of baseball-capless political analysis.
