Angus:"What DWA is pointing gently out to thee, a suggestion I have echoed, is that the links thou postest would, were one to download them at dial-up internet connection speed (the most economical available), require us to assign them a very considerable priority. Given that, why would anyone download them?" I see several possible factora at work here in this dynamic. 1. My laziness and parsimony versus Silver's laziness. US$30/month parsimony is the tie breaker at the moment? 2. Acheiving a change of habits in Silver, to give possibly more self-disclosure with links, versus my own lethargy and stinginess. 3. My own curiosity about the possible life-enhancing properties of wideband, and the risk of a new big time waster, internet videos. 4. The question is not IF, but WHEN I go over to high speed, and how long my masochism (well demonstrated by my persistence at TT) will hold out. 5. Still, consideration of potential TT readers in general would seem to merit a short description and reaction to links, by the poster, as a teaser/tantaliser, and assist any potential observer's decision to patiently download. 6. Admittedly, I could watch afternoon t.v. during the download. One deterring thing there, is the often annoying high advertising content. 7. Affecting Silver's expectations and perceptions, maybe they don't have advertising on radio/t.v. in SA? Unlikey, but concieveable.
