And that would be the reason that the gun laws should fall. Gangs of any type rely on having superiority of force to accomplish their goals. Even when they don't have guns, they have numbers. "Boris" presents that a sword can be as lethal as a gun (a subject for another post), but even ONE guy with a sword can't stand against a dozen toughs with knives. But, one guy with a gun can. At least, he'll have a fighting chance, which is more than he'd have otherwise. Given that gang-bangers are basically bullies (and therefore cowards) the fear of facing armed victims will do a lot to lower the level of violence. Its worth noting that gangs weren't a problem until AFTER gun control laws were passed that left the average Joe unable to resist the depredations of the gangs.
