No one disputes that guns are used more often. But, your claim is that by outlawing guns, the numbers will "perhaps" go down. Do you have anything other than "perhaps" to justify this claim? Do you have an example of someone (anyone) who was stopped from offing themself because they couldn't get a gun? I have an example of someone doing so w/o one. The rational approach for you would be to do so.
