It's quite likely that UFO bases are carved into ice - in Greeenland and Antarctica. The static and pure environment within ice caves is both functional and easily hidden from cursory surveillance.
Probably the most un dectectable bases are under the sea, within pressure induced domes.
There are very interesting legends in the Andes of UFO landings. The only extant legend of extra terre visitation is the very secretive inference among the Taos Pueblo.
