As the Hillary Clinton campaign unfolds/folds, I follow with interest, appreciation, and paranoid relief that women as voters aren't automaton-ically marching to the same "gender solidarity/significance" "drummer".

Science - sex differences and human behavior

National Review,  April 19, 1999  by John O. McGinnis

(First paragraph).. "men, on average, are more aggressive than women, more concerned with status, and more inclined to take risks, while women, again on average, are more nurturing and empathetic."

(added thought in the night)

I think this actually connects to historical experiences, namely the guns or butter debate under LBJ, the comparison of Athenian and Spartan cultures.

Does a tough wiry state really need to worry about butter supplies in the kitchen, and OYOH, does a party which hand-wrings constantly about "butter" issues really recognise the overpowering infrastructure challenges and security needs "out there" in a potentially mean and hostile world?(/add)
