This is the bright consequence of high oil prices. Wind power resources are good investments, can have a wide ownership base, are widely dispersed, dependable in annual output, provide local employment, and will last a long time.

More secure energy sources for any country is positive economically, socially, and politically, IMO. Wind and solar power for Europe especially makes a lot of sense, being vulnerable in dependence on gas-oil imports for energy. OTOH, even Iran is investing in some wind turbines.
