Thank Gov. Richardson? Trust the people? 72 virgins carry out their own waste?

Crossbowman:"Now the disease is so rare in this state that the cost of testing and dealing with the occasional false positives is far greater than the cost of actually dealing with the few exposures that occur, so we eliminated the requirement and instead set up a system where doctors report the cases they encounter and then Epidemiology goes out to find out who might have been exposed and treat them."

Haha. That's wonderful and inspiring to hear. I appreciate the anti-bureaucratic business-as-usual impulse in evidence there.

I have vicarious knowledge of people (now out of business) facing repeated, even escalated municipality fire inspections, when the material they stored is largely non-flammable. Also, I have heard about financially challenged but independence-inclined rural people collecting their chamber pot waste and merely burying it. Probably that fertiliser goes where it will do some good, and probably also, there are strict objections available in the county law/health codes.

I suggest in this case, that the lucious virgins previously promised to code violators in the periodic vote-begging melees merely be reduced from 72 to, say, half of that. No costs should be necessarily incurred in the blind broad-brush dictator-flavored effort. Namely, *rewards* be reduced for the violators who are careless in their fire code/health code housekeeping, that the state/government/regulators would otherwise have to take full charge of. It is an automatic airtight justifying assumption, of course, that the untidy are just mentally-ill pigs, after all.
