Although economy is a constantly changing force, the billions now in possession by a tiny fragment of the world population will continue in escrow to create a new aristocracy, which will prevail for 1000 years. Just as Rome transferred power to the Church, then to Protestant Europe, so too, will the post WWII accretion of economic power.
Obama talks about 'change',but keep in mind - upgrading the impoverished and marginalized working class is 'Small Change'- literally. If a family on the edge has non drinking or drug addicted parents and little desire to credit purchase a fabric of illusion, a mere 2700 dollars added per annum would make all of the difference - rescuing them from dark alleys of drug dealing, junk food, and accident prone existence to a new level, still quite low, but with meaningful subsistence. One may laugh at this projection, but huge wealth is not going to subside,quiver,retract,or accept institutional monolithic socialism. |
