There's a web access product advertised currently that appears to be plug in module for a laptop computer that appears to be direct-to-satellite service.

The conspirator-evaders might set up a brisk business in bootleged (to Canada) PCMCIA plug in adapters. It seems incredible, but I own already an US$80 HDTV receiver that plugs in to the USB connector. Your laptop can be an excellent handy portable t.v., with a $40 antenna. After I bought my GPS display for the car, I learned that there is a similar cheap GPS add-on for computers.

However, it is within my own memories that countries in Europe, England, West Germany, charged for use of radio. You paid your bill at the post office, in Germany. Television was taxed in Great Britain, and "spies" were prowling around with sensitive receivers that detected and located television receivers.

In brief: With enough reguation, "anyone" can be a casual "criminal".

DWAardvark, begrudgingly paying "private" entities, lackeys of the "state", for satellite cable t.v. and high cellular telephone taxes
