Call me old fashioned.

High speed internet adds cost and does not improve significant(enough) functionality for me. On reflection, I would just rather read/scan/skip through/word search something, than watch it at a mind-numbing Pat Paulson speed.

I am a fairly fast reader, IMO. Videos don't give much choice on speed at the present level of readily available compression technology. Also, you may have to concentrate, to "get" what is being said on a video, or repeat it. The visual portion, AFAICS is just distracting photo-shoppable fluff, not usually pretty or inspiring.

(added) Earlier, I was referring specifically to high speed ***internet*** service available evidently direct from a satellite through a laptop wireless receiver.
