The authentic "communication" was at the Tiergarten Park, not Brandenburg Gate

Edit
Your quoted Associated Press paragraph also appeared locally in the newspaper this morning.

Angus:"Now how about getting to work to help Mr. Obama as an alternative to the easy ape-like imitation of scathingly tired, armchair claptrap? "

Berlin does have a world-class zoo.

"Tiergarten" means zoo, BTW.

"Brandenburger Tor", I believe is the German term for that enviable speechifying monument location for JFK, and for Reagan, and for the Nazis earlier when they grabbed power, about 1933...

I found the German Wiki article longer, more complete than the English.

I just saw some of that speech, and also a press conference with France's Sarkozy. I am eager to hear some body language anaysis of Sarkozy, at Obama's side in Paris. '-)

Belated suggestion, Obama should have visited that Berlin prison where high-ranking "rebels" against the Nazi dictator were hanged on piano wire, in 1944.

Premature victory lap?

I am hearing right now that BHO is opting for a gym workout, rather than a visit to Landstuhl, Germany, where wounded soldiers are.
