A cable news channel this morning reports a survey showing McCain in the lead. I myself am not really expecting a photo-finish, when the moment of "truth" arrives in November. It will be a new landscape when we see who is selected as Veep, especially for BHO, IMO. IMO he needs a remedy for his graphically demonstrated naive "Ich bin ein Beginner" status, while McCain can choose practically anyone. Long term strategy there might favor the Republcans picking the NEXT 2012 presidential candidate as McCain's running mate, but I think that modern events are entirely too full of surprises to do that well. The problem I would see in having BHO to learn a few international relations tricks by the hard knocks international mugging method is that one tends to over-react. Maybe a second non-shooting "cold war", this time with Iran IS better than hitting them in the yellow-cake uranium centrifuge room. That has to be considered carefully, pros and cons, anyway. I visualise ***beam weapons*** (made in ??) held by neighbors and major powers demonstrating that IraN is permanently figuratively stuck between the 9th and 19th century. OTOH, John McCain ***has*** had his "hard knocks" lessons.
