Some people, accustomed to mind-reading, read innuendoes where none were intended. Although in actual conversation we do notice nods and winks as evidence of an intended innuendo, in TT cyberspace, the absence of a winky, crooked smile, might, sans mind-reading, be charitably interpreted as having no intention of innuendo. I think Silverfox's post about the purported use in Italian of the word "innuendo" might have many innuendos, but then again I might be mind-reading unforgivably .... |
