The problem with Cold war tactics with Muslim countries is that they don't play that way. Muslims take hostages, change allegiances, engage in market place terrorism with out second thoughts. They are merchants and warriors. They've been that way since the beginning of time. Literally. We westerners tend to forget that civilization started there. They don't have the mind set for a Cold War. Their culture is too old and too entrenched to change. WE need a President who understands that and can deal with them on their terms rather than trying to deal with them as Bush has - as if they embraced Western culture just because some of them drive cars. WE need to understand that the pan-Muslim design on humanity is real. And I know some folks are going to say stuff like, "You just painted all Muslims with a broad brush ..." Yes. I did. Look at it from the point of view of those Muslims in power - they paint the West the same way. God knows there's enough of us that would suffer dhimmitude that it would only take a little push for the Muslims in power to get their wish.
