Possibly, there are no eminent tourist attractions nearby to Ramstein or Landstuhl to keep them from getting figety while they wait for the boss.

Realistically, I would really rather go do a more extended "fidget" in Paris or London. That, of course is a "city mouse" versus "country mouse" debate, and they do have some wineries along those German rivers.
